Applying an order or retailer discount

Le New Black supports several types of discounts: product and variant promotions, size-level discounts, retailer discounts and order discounts. This article explains how to apply a discount to a single order and how to set a discount rate for a retailer so that it applies automatically to their future orders.

Applying a discount to a specific order

When you create an order as a brand user, you can enter a discount rate that applies to the total amount of that order only.
 

1. Create your order as usual and go to step 3 – Set address and terms.
    
2. In the Order payment section, enter the discount rate in the Discount field (for example, 10 for 10%).
    
3. Click Review and send.
    
4. Check the order footer: the discounted total is displayed, with the applied discount rate shown in red.
    

Applying a discount to all orders for a retailer

If you want a retailer to benefit from the same discount on every order, you can set a discount rate on their retailer profile. This rate will then be applied automatically.
 

1. Go to Customers > Retailers.
    
2. Open the profile of the retailer concerned.
    
3. Click the Settings tab.
    
4. In the Commercial terms section, enter the rate in the Discount rate field.
    
5. Click Save.
    

The rate now applies automatically to all new orders for this retailer, including orders they place on their own. Existing orders are not updated.

When you create an order for this retailer, the Discount field in the Order payment section is pre-filled with this rate. You can replace it with a different rate for the current order, but the two discounts cannot be combined.
