A delta is a message displayed in orange in an order to inform of a pending change in the data of the products added. This message is used to quickly notify and apply product/price data updates to orders. Four types of change result in a delta: a price change, a reference change, a stock quantity change, or a product/variant that has become unavailable.
To view orders, you may go to the menu Sales > Orders.
Important notice: reopening/modifying an order automatically applies the deltas. Once applied, a delta's action is non-reversible. If you do not wish to apply the delta to the order, you need to change the order status to Confirmed. To apply a delta to a confirmed order, you need to open it (Open for buyer / Open for brand). This article shows how to switch an order's status.
Change of reference
When a product reference has been modified in the showroom, a delta is displayed showing the modified product and the change made. For the change to be taken into account in the order, you need to click the Apply updates button.
Price change
A price change results in a change to the order total amount. The delta specifies this difference. You can apply the update to the order by clicking the Apply updates button.
Change in stock quantities
Stock level variations lead to a difference in the quantities available for sale. If a product is no longer available in sufficient quantity for the order, a delta is displayed to warn of this information. It is not possible to confirm an order with a stock delta. To be able to confirm the order, you must update it by deleting the out-of-stock product or import the product's updated stock again.
Note: when a product is deleted, the total amount of the order is updated.
Change in products availability
It is possible that after an order has been entered, a product or a product's variant is no longer available. In this case, a delta is displayed in the order. You can apply the update to the order by clicking the Apply updates button.
Note: by applying any unavailable product / variant delta, the total amount of the order will be adjusted.
