Each time your buyers or sales team create orders, you can decide the way their baskets will be split into orders. You can decide between two order split mode: by order mode or by collection/sales catalog.
- Split by order mode: pros and cons
- Split by collection/sales catalog: pros and cons
- Changing the order automatic split mode
Split by order mode: pros and cons
The split by order mode will split the basket by inventory mode: pre-order, immediate stock, incoming stock. This will generate one PO number for each mode.
Pros
- Group orders by inventory mode which means less POs to manage separately
- See in a glance all orders sorted by season in the Orders page (Season column)
Cons
- Cannot see or filter the orders by collection/sales catalog in the Orders page (Collection/Sales catalog column only available in split by collection/sales catalog)
- Cannot filter orders by collection/sales catalog in the Sales and Reportings exports (Integration center)
- Cannot use price per period
- Cannot apply order conditions at a specific line or collection level
- Fill the season/line in order depending on the main's collection season/line (main collection is the ordered collection with the highest number of distinct SKUs then highest total quantity)
Split by collection/sales catalog: pros and cons
The split by collection/sales catalog will split the basket by collection or sales catalog. This will generate one PO number for each ordered collection/sales catalog.
Please note that if you sell both immediate and incoming stock on one catalog, this will always generate two PO numbers: one for immediate stock and the second for incoming stock only. It is not possible to have one PO number that includes two different stock type.
Pros
- Group orders by collection/sales catalog
- See in a glance all orders by collection/sales catalog (Collection/Sales catalog column)
- Filter orders by collection/sales catalog in the Orders page
- Filter orders by collection/sales catalog in the Sales and Reportings exports (Integration center)
- Allow the use of price per period
- Allow to apply order condition at a specific line or collection level
- Fill the season/line in order from the assigned collection's season/line
Cons
- Manage a bigger volume of POs depending on your number of collection/sales catalogs available to order
- Cannot see in a glance the orders' season in the Orders page (Season column only available in split by order mode)
