On LE NEW BLACK, you are able to categorise the retailers according to different types: Customer, Retail, Press, Prospect, Contact, Former or Staff. Assigning a type to your contacts, allows you to filter and analyse your orders and reports using the classification by type.
If you have already integrated your customer data with a contact type, you may still make an update or add your contact type in bulk, at a later time. You may do so by exporting the retailers list from your showroom, making the adjustment to the file and re-importing the file with the updated information.
To update your contacts’ type:
- Go to the settings wheel > Integration center > Exports column
- Click on Customers > Retailers
- Keep the two mandatory key columns in your export to allow the data update: Name and Country, and check the Contact type box. You may also use the filters available in the second column if needed
- Uncheck all the boxes for the columns you don't want to update. To update other pieces of information regarding your retailers, please read this article
- Click on the Export button. Please note that if you use special characters (slash /, é, è, etc) in your customer names or addresses, you need to change the export format from "CSV" to "Excel" before
- Change the Contact type column header to Contact group and fill in with the following values: 1:Customer, 5:Retail, 6:Press, 3:Prospect, 4:Contact, 2:Former, 7:Staff
- Integrate the file by going to the Settings wheel > Imports column: Customers section > Retailers by dropping it in the grey box or by clicking the Select file button

Important notice: if you export a column and erase all the information in the cells but keep the header name column, it means you wish to erase all data in bulk of this column on your showroom. It will not be possible to revert this action if you delete all data after a products data update.
