When you first integrate your customer data, you may still be missing some details. You can make an update later to add these additional pieces of information (Company name, Phone number, Delivery address for example). On Le New Black, you can update your customer data at a later time and in bulk by exporting them from your showroom and re-importing them with the updated information.
Private showroom specification
On a private showroom, it is not possible to update retailer references using the bulk method. If you change the data filled in the Reference column for existing customers in your file, you will create duplicate retailers when integrating it. To modify a retailer's reference, you need to make the change manually on the showroom.
Update your customer data
If you also wish to create new retailers using your export, the following columns must be filled in: Name and Country. To find out more about creating new customers, you may read this article.
To update your customer data:
- Go to the settings wheel > Integration center > Exports column
- Click on Customers > Retailers
- Keep the two mandatory key columns in your export to allow the data update: Name and Country. You may also filter by Contact type (pre-defined types: Customer, Retail, Press, Prospect, Contact, Former, Staff) or Access status (Pending, Connected, Blocked)
- Uncheck all the boxes for the columns you don't want to update and check those related to the columns you do want to update (e.g. Billing company)
- Click on the Export button. Please note that if you use special characters (slash /, é, è, etc) in your customer names or addresses, you need to change the export format from "CSV" to "Excel" before
- Fill in the information to be updated in the file
- Integrate the file by going to the Settings wheel > Imports column: Customers section > Retailers. Please note that if you are updating the price catalog associated to the customers, you need to choose the Price list identifier, Name or Code depending on the data you have entered in your file in the Price catalog column

Important notice: if you export a column and erase all the information in the cells but keep the header name column, it means you wish to erase all data in bulk of this column on your showroom. It will not be possible to revert this action if you delete all data after a products data update.
