Assigning a line to a retailer

By assigning a line to a retailer, you can manage its restrictions and use it as a filter on pages such as Orders, Reports, and Segments. Lines can also be applied to agent settings so that agents only see the retailers of the line(s) they're assigned to (read Setting agent access by line).

A line is a grouping you create to organise collections, products, retailers, and agents. It's used to manage access between agents, buyers, and their collections, and can also serve as a filter across several pages and the reports.

Before you start: make sure the line you want to assign already exists on your showroom (read Creating and managing lines).

To assign a retailer to a line:
 

1. Go to the menu Customers > Retailers
    
2. Click to enter the relevant retailer
    
3. In the Overview tab: select the correct line at Allowed lines drop-down menu
    
4. Click on Save
    

The line is now assigned to the retailer, and its access restrictions apply immediately.
